                                      “.... From Now, and Forever....”

Church bells rang through the crisp morning air as people filed into the church. Making friendly conversation in their best outfits. Little children ran around screaming and laughing. Making music of their own.
The church piano played soft soothing music that calmed the nerves of both the bride and her bridesmaids!

I ran around with curlers in my hair trying to shove my high heels on.
“Quorra! honey your dress is not buttoned properly.” I said coming up behind my sister and re - buttoning her pastel yellow dress.
“Oh thanks! it didn’t feel right to me.” She said turning and smiling. She looked like an angel! Her blond hair had been curled and pulled up into a bun on the back of her head, with ringlets lying against her neck. On the front of the bun she had placed a small tiara of yellow wild flowers. She had on light make - up and blue eye shadow on. Yet she refused to put on lipstick.
That’s my sis.
Her dress was fitted in the waist and fell down to the floor in the back and had a small train, but in the front it was a little shorter and showed her sandaled feet.
“Ok does it look good?” She asked, smoothing out the ruffled top of the dress.
“Yep looks fantastic.” I said.
I rushed off into the next room and found Brinlynn and several other bridesmaids trying to tackle the vale.
I ran over to help place the flower ring on top of her short curled hair (that made it even shorter!)
She sighed with relief.
“Thanks Zaydie. You need to get your hair done! Hurry!” She then rushed me off down the hall again to get my hair done.
I carefully pulled the curlers out of my hair and it fell down around my shoulders in long ringlets. I sprayed it hoping that it would stay.
“I hope it at least stays for the ceremony.” I muttered. I pulled certain curls back away from my face and pinned them up with amethyst studded bobby pins that matched my dress. My dress really was the only bolder color. Though it wasn’t by a lot. My dress was very similar to Quorra’s (besides the color obviously) it had the fitted waist line that was a shinny purple ribbon. The top of the dress was just a plain silk that Brin said, “accents my engagement necklace”.
The bottom of the skirt was pleated and it was longer in the back then the front.
I didn’t particularly hate the dress, but it wouldn’t have been my first choice.
I placed the purple ring of flowers on my head, and quickly did my make - up.
I dashed out and back into the room where Brin was getting ready.
“Aw now don’t you look like a girl who just stepped out of fairytale?” She asked turning to me in her big dress.
I smiled.
“No that would be you.” I said.
Brin’s dress was obviously white. It had a full princess skirt, and a nicely fitted waist. The dress was sleeveless. But then she wore a laced... shirt thing over top of it so she was still modest looking. The dress was pretty simple, but pretty.
Her vale was lace as well, and it was longer then the train of the dress!
Underneath the dress, she wore ballet flats instead of high heels. Lucky.

She smiled at me and held out her hand as we heard the queue for everyone to get in their places.
I helped her down from the dais, and she walked out with her head held high.
Her father met her at the bottom of the stairs and pulled the vale down around her face. I gave her arm a squeeze as I walked by.
“Good luck. And may the Creator bless you.” I whispered.
“You too.” She said with a kind smile.
Quorra stood in front of me as the doors opened.
Each of the bridesmaids were escorted down the isle by a groomsman.
All except me.
I stepped up to the door clutching my bouquet of white tulips with the single purple one in the middle.
I watched Sav (who was escorting Quorra. Duh) lean over as they walked down the isle and whisper something to my sister. I could see her smile and she held her self taller.
I smiled and stepped out into the church.

I kept my eyes dead ahead so I didn’t get distracted. But the distraction was up ahead of me, so it didn’t work very well. I saw you standing next to Braxlin looking, well as handsome as ever. Your hair was still done up in that wave I’ve seen so often, though it looked like you had just had a shower. Or gelled it a lot.
You looked good in the tux that was actually tailored to fit you. haha. You also had a white tulip on your suit as did Braxlin, and the rest of the groomsmen.
But boy, when you saw me walk out. Your jaw might have dropped even slightly. But it still dropped!

I smiled and forced myself to keep pace to the slow music that sounded like water running in a stream.
I finally walked up the steps and stood “first in line” of the bridesmaids just as you did of the groomsmen.
The wedding march started up and we all looked down the isle I had just come, to see the doors open again, and Brin and her father standing there.
Her dad looked like he was about to cry in his high collared suit, and she looked like she was about to as well.
But somehow she made it up to the steps with out a tear. Her father took her hand, and then Braxlin’s as well.
“I give you my daughter. Guard her with your life, enjoy life with her to the finest, and above all, keep her close and do not loose sight of her.” He said.
Braxlin nodded and Brinlynn’s father kissed her hand, and placed his right hand on Braxlin’s forehead.
“You have my blessing.” He said quietly. He then united their hands, and Braxlin led her up the steps and to the alter.
The preacher stepped forward in his plain suit that didn’t seem to bare any color.
The bridesmaids did the traditional thing, I passed my bouquet down to Quorra, who passed hers down to the next one, and it continued on till a bouquet was given to the little flower girl who beamed up at us as she was handed her bouquet of flowers, which she placed ever so carefully in her basket.
Brinlynn handed over her own bouquet to me, and she placed both hands in Braxlin’s.
They intertwined their hands and held them upright between the two of them.
The preacher took a pure white ribbon and tied it around their hands.
“This ribbon symbolizes two things.” He said. “One, that both of these young people are pure and clean, and until today have kept themselves so. It also symbolizes the uniting of these two people.”
He turned his gaze to the new couple.
“With this vow you are about to take, you are committing yourselves to each other. And only each other. You are to keep her heart.” He addressed Braxlin. “You are to guard her as you have promised her father. But you are to cherish her for she is yours to do so by the blessing of both the Creator, and her father.
And you, are to keep his heart,” He said turning to Brin. “and you are to submit to him and do as he commands. You are also to be the mistress of his heart, and to treasure him, just as he does to you. Now.” He took a step back and brought out a vile from his robes.
“I bless this union, and through the power given unto me by the Creator, I unite these two people, to be come one, in heart,” he pored a little of what ever was in the vile on Brinlynn’s head. “and in soul.” He did the same to Braxlin.
“Let us celebrate this union, and give up songs of praise to the Creator. Keep to him. Do not stray from him, and your lives shall be blessed.” The preacher clasped his hands in front of him and smiled.
“You are now one. From now, and forever.”
Braxlin took Brin up in his arms and kissed her as he did. (a long kiss)
The whole church exploded with The Hymn. They reached out their right hand to the new couple to place their blessings on them.
Brax carried Brin all the way down the isle and The Hymn chanted in beautiful melody through out the whole church.
I stepped forward as the new couple disappeared behind the doors. You did the same and held out your arm. I wrapped mine through it and squeezed tight as we walked down the isle.
“You look beautiful.” You whispered.
I smiled. At the end of the isle I stood on my tip toes and gave you a light kiss.
“Thank you Kylun.” I said. You smiled and led me through the doors.
Through the doors that held so much for us.
For our future.
A new beginning to life.

                                               YES!!!! We get a break!!!!

We turned around and found Tasin with her hands on her hips and glaring at us.
We relaxed a little once we found that it was just her.
But she was mad.
"What do you think you were doing? You can't just go in there and kill someone!" She yelled. You carried me over to the couch and set me down. I tried my very best not to fall a sleep.
"Now guess who's got to do all the brain washing, and clean up the mess in the bathroom, and get rid of Angel's body?!?!" She challenged.
None of us said anything.
"Me!!" She cried.
"Tasin we didn't know it would cause so much trouble. We didn't mean to." I said gently. She took a deep breath and calmed down.
"No you didn't. And I know that. Please forgive me for the sudden outburst. It was wrong of me to take my anger out on you."
We all nodded.
"Now I'll go clean up." She then disappeared.

We all let out a sigh and collapsed various places.
Lexi settled for the floor. Quorra took the other couch, which she shared with Savrin. I pulled my feet in closer so you could have a seat. And Kigo leaned against a wall.
"Well I'm done in for the night." Lexi said as she curled up on her spot on the floor, and closed her eyes.
"I'm with you on that one." I muttered as I let myself given in to sleep. "Night all." I said quietly. Then I fell asleep.

                                                        ++++

The next morning I was the first one up. And everyone was still in the same position as we had fallen asleep in last night.
I silently rose from my uncomfortable position on the couch and looked around. You didn't seem in the most comfortable position either, with your head leaned back between the wall and the couch.
I smiled and carefully stepped over Lexi.
I passed Kigo who was sleeping in the door way, and grinned. I grabbed several blankets from the linins closet and placed one over each of you.
I then went and took a shower.
Washing all the aches, pains, and blood stains from last night down the drain.

I put my black and green shirt back on with the black skirt and white boots on once I got out and let my hair hang loosely around my shoulders as I air dried it.
I walked back into the kitchen and started to make breakfast.
I sensed Tasin behind me.
"Where you able to make it all ok?" I asked quietly. She nodded.
"Yeah. There never was a woman named Angel in Lothomer anymore. And the Governor never had a right hand woman. Nobody remembers the bathroom fight either." She explained. I nodded.
"Thank you Tasin. We really didn't mean to make such a big mess out of everything." I said as I pulled a skillet out and placed cold bacon strips on it.
"It's alright. So long as I get some of that bacon." Tasin said as she peaked up over the stove top to look into the pain.
"Alright." I said with a laugh.
"Can I help?"
In ways, Tasin reminded me of other normal little girls. Other then the fact that she just looked like one.
"Sure why not?" I asked. "Keep an eye on those." I said, ironically seeing as she could barely see over the counter.
I gathered up more ingredients from the fridge for omelets.
Tasin and I worked together as we made breakfast, and soon everyone was woken up by the sweet smells that came from the kitchen.
I gave them each their plates as they came shuffling by, most of them with their blankets wrapped around their shoulders. I agree, it sure was cold!

Soon everyone was around the table with their hands linked. You led us in prayer.
"Thank you Creator for keeping us safe as we walk this fine line. Please continue to do so as we continue this walk. Don't let your hand stray from us, and don't forsake us.
Thank you for this food that Zaydie as made for all of us, and let us enjoy the new dawn, and what ever it may bring."
"Amen." we all chanted.
Then we dug in.
Even Tasin.

Halfway through the meal I gasped so much that I started to cough on my own food.
Everyone was taken aback by my sudden gagging. Savrin started to laugh a little as Kigo hit my back.
I swallowed a gulp of water as I tried to keep myself from smiling to much.
"Are you ok there?" You asked with a grin. I nodded and set my cup down.
"Yup. Quorra! do you know what day it is three days from now?!" I asked urgently. Quorra paused her food halfway to her mouth.
"No."
I looked at her like she was insane.
"What was it that we promised at the beginning of this whole mess?!"
Her eyes got big and she suddenly squealed. All the boys and Lexi looked at her like she was demented.
"We have a wedding to go to!!" She exclaimed. Clapping her hands together excitedly.
You were so surprised that you spit out the swallow of water you had in your mouth. I cringed back as it spewed out all over the table.
"Excuse me?!" You asked as you wiped your mouth with the back of your hand.
Quorra waved her hand at you. "Not yours. Brinlynn and Braxlin's!"
"Wait their getting married?!?!" You shouted.
Quorra and I laughed.
"Yup.... I guess you've missed something." I said, smiling at you.
A lot of things.

We spent the rest of the morning getting you caught up on what has happened in the past year.
"So, their getting married huh?" You asked with a cocky grin. "Who'da thought?"
I chuckled.
“Not me.” Quorra stated. “But we had better get going if we want to get there on time.”
I nodded and started to clean up.
“You guys want to come?” I asked Kigo and Lexi.
They exchanged glances.
“Nah. I want to visit my mom. I haven’t seen her in several years.” Lexi said with a kind smile. “But don’t worry I’ll come running when you need me.” She said a chuckle.
I nodded. “Alright. Enjoy that time with your mom. Because you never know how much time you have.” I said kindly. She nodded and rose to her feet.
“I will. Ya’ll enjoy the break, because I have a feeling that it won’t last long.” She waved at us from the door.
“Bye Lexi!” We all called after her.
“Well, I’m headin’ out too. And just like she said, give me a call and I’ll be there.” Kigo stated, walking to the door.
“Aw. Well we’ll see you soon then.” Quorra said with a grin.
“Yup. Latter.” He called over his shoulder as he walked out the door.

I quickly washed the dishes, then walked back over to the three of you. (who had all changed into your usual clothes)
“Well let’s get going.” I said with an excited grin. We all grabbed our packs and then linked hands, and you teleported us back to Konsor.
Back home.

                                                           ++++

We found ourselves in the main street of Konsor city.
Quorra and I giggled as we dashed down the street to Brinlynn’s apartment. We knocked on the door, and could hardly keep still.
No one answered and I tried the handle.
It was locked.
Quorra ran to the next door neighbor, she talked to an elderly lady for a moment, then beckoned to me, and we dashed back down the stairs. We bumped into you and Savrin on our way down, we didn’t stop, Quorra just grabbed Sav’s hand, and I grabbed your’s.
We dragged you after us as we dashed down the stairs and back out into the street.
“Where are we going?” You asked. I glanced over my shoulder and peered through my nutmeg brown hair.
“The church.” I said with a grin. Your blue eyes got big as your blond hair whipped across your forehead.
I laughed and ran harder.

We came up to a simple white church and slowed down just enough to open the doors with out blowing them off their hinges.
We interrupted the wedding rehearsal. Oh dear.
Brinlynn and Brax were at the alter. And when we ran in, they, and everyone else in the wedding jumped. They turned around to see who had just busted through the doors.

Brin’s jaw dropped and she dropped Brax’s hands and ran down the isle. Quorra and I stepped forward as she threw an arm around each of us.
She was laughing and so were we.
“Your back!” She exclaimed. We nodded as she held us out at arms length to study us.
“We’re back. And just in time for the wedding.” I said with a smile.
“Oh praise the Creator you are all ok.’ She said with a sigh of relief. She looked between us and met Savrin’s gaze.
“How are you Sav?” She asked.
Sav nodded. Then she noticed you.
“Zaydie... who’s that?” She asked. I laughed and turned to you.
“It’s Kylun.”
Her jaw dropped.
“Your kidding right?!” I shook my head. “I though he’d left. And what happened to his eyes? And his hair?!?!” She asked me.
“You know, I can actually talk, and I am standing right here, so you can direct those questions to me.” You said with a cock of your head as you stuck your right hand into the pocket of your kaki shorts. (glad you took off that black robe)
“Well, uh yes. Sorry Kylun. It’s just weird to see you. Here. Again. And with blond hair!”
Quorra and I tried to suppress giggles unsuccessfully though. But I saw that smile creep up onto your face.
“Well we’re all here! And sorry about interrupting your rehearsal. Hi Brax!” I said in a rush. Braxlin smiled and gave me and Quorra hugs.
“Hey girls. Keeping these boys in line?” He asked as he gave Sav a knuckle sandwich.
“Haha! Yeah.” I said with a smile.
“Good.”
“Now we’ll leave so you can get back to your-”
“oh no!” Brinlynn cried. “This is perfect! My sister is unable to come, and Mandi is sick, so Quorra would you be a bridesmaid?”
“Yes!!” Quorra exclaimed. Brin smiled.
“I thought you might. Zaydie would you be my maid of honor?”
My jaw dropped but I nodded.
“Absolutely!”
“Haha! Good.” She then turned to Brax. And they seemed to have a silent conversation. He finally groaned with a smile and kissed a grinning Brin. I take it she won.
“Boys!” He said turning to you and Savrin.
“Want to be apart of the wedding too?”
Immediately you boys started to object.
Quorra and I turned to you and Sav.
“Oh come on, please?” I pleaded. Grasping your arm and jumping up and down a little.
You hesitated. Your eyes searching mine, but already I could feel you start to give in.
“Zaydie I really don’t do well with crowds.”
“Psh! That’s rubbish! You seemed to do just fine when you hugged me in front of tons of people.” I said with an all - knowing smile.
“He did what?” I could hear Brin ask. But I ignored here. Haha.
“Please... For me?” I asked, giving you the sweetest smile I could muster with out bursting out laughing, and fluttering my eyes. Yeah yeah, I was laying it on thick. But dude I was having so much fun!
You hesitated again, but finally groaned and grasped my shoulders, giving me a shake.
“That’s not fair!” You shouted. I chuckled.
“What?”
“Doing the one thing that you know will melt me!”
I laughed. Then turned to Brin. (who was watching us with a cocked eyebrow.)
“He’s in.”
“Sav is too.” Quorra stated.
“Good. Now come on I guess we have to make sure the clothes fit.” Brax said, moving down and talking to several people.
You walked up next to me and slung your arm over my shoulders.
“Thank you.” I whispered as I hugged your waist.
“Yeah well. Least I could do right? After we get married your stuck with me so might as well make the best of it starting now.” You replied.
I smiled.
“And that’s not a bad thing.” I said. “I think I can stand spending the rest of my life with you.” I smiled.
“Well that’s always good to know Zaydie. Always good to know.”
We both laughed.

                                                           ++++

“So what’s up with you and Kylun? seem a little tight.” Brin asked. She had led us up to bridal store and we were now looking at bride’s maids dresses.
“Well... Um....” Quorra gave me a look.
“I’ll tell you when Kylun’s around.” I said.
“Am I going to like this?” Brin asked. I chuckled.
“I sure hope so. But it doesn’t really matter because there’s no backing out now.” I muttered.
Brin stopped her search for a dress and looked me square in the eye.
“Your not pregnant are you?” She asked bluntly.
My jaw dropped.
“NO! Brin! how on earth could you ask such a thing?! You know me better then that.” I said. Glancing around to make sure no one heard that.
“Well I certainty hope so.” She muttered.

Latter that night after we had picked out dresses, we met back up in Brin’s apartment.
“Ok spill the beans kiddies.” Brin stated. Sitting down on Brax’s lap.
I slowly fell to the couch and you sat down next to me.
I glanced at you and you pulled out your engagement necklace, and I held out mine.
Brin gasped.
“Whoa! ok um I think your a little old for this guys. I mean it’s one thing with it’s little girls trading friendship necklaces it’s another when your this old and completely different genders.” She stated in her usual blunt way.
I blushed and ducked my head while a laugh spilled out.
“No their not exactly that. But close.” I said.
“We’re engaged Brin.” You said, in your usual blunt way.
Brax and Brin’s jaws dropped. And Brin came over and examined the necklaces.
“Are you serious?” She asked, looking up at the two of us. “You two?” She pointed her finger from me to you.
I nodded with a smile.
“Yup.” I clutched my necklace in my hand tightly then let it fall back against my shirt.
“So when’s the wedding?” She asked taking a step back.
“Uh....” you all stated.
“Next month.” I decided.
“Next month?!” Everyone cried. (yes including you)
“Next month.” I repeated.
“Are you sure it’s next month?” You asked, giving me a look. I nodded.
“Yup. Next month.”
“Next month...” Quorra whispered.
“M - hmm.” I said.
“Ok! It’s apparently next month. Can you pull a wedding off that fast?” You asked.
I scoffed.
“I can pull anything off in a month.” I said with a wave of my hand.
“Well alright then. Make sure we get the invites.” Brin stated.
I laughed.
“Of course.”
Wow.... we were getting married.... next month!!!!

No. 20

Who thought of giving her the name Angel?!?!

Adrenaline was coursing through my bloodstream as we searched for Willa's mom.
"Ok I'm here." Lexi said over the com.
"Whoa! That was fast." Quorra remarked with a shocked look.
"Yeah well, like I said before, no one can catch me. Now Angel is with the Governor, find the Gov you find her."
"Uh...." I glanced around at the large crowd of people.
"Got to be a little more specific then that Lexi. We don't even know what the Governor looks like!" Sav stated. The rest of us nodded in agreement as we looked around wildly.
"Oo-kay then! We obviously need to come up with a better battle strategy." Kigo stated. I scoffed.
"You think? we have all this training and we refuse to use it." I said mindlessly.
"Ok the Governor is located on the west side of the room." Kigo instructed. I nodded and headed off into the crowd. Side - stepping people while I made sure everyone was still keeping up.

"He should be easy to spot. He's the one with all the guards." Kigo remarked like we were dumb.
"Oh gee thanks." I stated sarcastically. I could hear you chuckle behind me.
"Yup, don't mention it sweetheart. -"
"Don't -" And you got cut off. Typical Kigo.
" - remember, if you need back up just holler." Kigo finished.
"yeah, no problem cub." I remarked.
"Cub?!" He called.
"Yeah... you still have a lot to learn kid." I explained with a sly smile.
I came to a sudden stop, which caused the dominos affect again.
"What? What is it?" Quorra asked from behind me. She leaned over to see around me.
"Hoaky stink." I muttered. I sensed everyone else nod behind me.

In front of us was the Governor who was smiling and greeting people. Right next to him was the most beautiful woman any of us had ever seen before!
Her perfectly curled blond hair was drawn up into a loose bun on the back of her head, she wore a pure white dress that was slightly revealing.
She had a beautiful smile on her face as she greeted people with grace.
Yet looking into her eyes. I saw that underneath all that make - up, was a murderous woman that could kill anyone in the blink of an eye.

I gracefully walked up to the Governor as he spotted me.
"Hello! You must be Zaydie." He exclaimed enthusiastically. I smiled and dipped into a curtsy as he took my hand and kissed it.
"You really were amazing! I heard the rumors, but I hardly ever believe rumors."
"He's a hard nut to crack."
I smiled as Angel cut in.
"But I finally had him track you down so he could hear you for himself. Thank you for accepting the invitation, and love the dress! It's so...." She seemed to struggle for the right words. I cocked an eyebrow.
"....Cute."
I forced a smile.
"Well thank you Mrs. Angel -"
"It's miss actually." She said as she leaned against the Governor. Who wrapped his arm around her hips.
Right.... somehow I think she's a little more then a right hand woman.
"Well thank you for inviting me." I finished with another forced smile. Then I deliberately turned my back and walked off.

"Ok we're in serious trouble. She's cocky, and in a relationship." I reported in a low voice.
"With who?" Sav asked.
"The Governor."
Everybody's eyebrows rose.
"What kind of...." Quorra saw my look. "Oh.... ok then!"
"Guys." I said into the com. "We're going to need that back up."

                                                      ++++

We had figured out how to get Angel alone. In the bathroom,.. so it was up to us girls. The boys would be outside and they would come in if needed, but Lexi Quorra and I would see what we could do first.

"Ok, go Quorra." I ordered via com.
I watched through the crowd as my sister acted a little delirious.
She started to look over her shoulder as Sav followed, they started to shout back and forth as they moved through the crowd.
He said something and Quorra started to laugh. Only she wasn't looking where she was going.
She rammed into an elder lady, who stumbled forward and spilled her red wine all over Angel's white dress.
Angel got furious and started to yell at the poor woman. She then marched off into the bathroom.

"Alright, let's go." I said. Quorra nodded and Lexi said she was on her way.
I headed to the bathroom with the boys following me, but farther back.
Quorra met me outside the bathroom and we stepped in.

Angel was trying to get the red wine stain out of her dress, though the attempt was in vain. Everyone knows you can't get red wine out of anything!
I took a deep breath and walked up to a sink and splashed my face.
"What happened?" I asked, as I dried my face with a towel.
"Some blind woman spilt her wine on me." Angel muttered. I suddenly noticed her look up at me through the mirror. "you couldn't get it out could you?" She asked, with a look in her eye that I didn't like. I glanced at Quorra who was leaning against the wall with her arms crossed over her chest. She gave me a slight signal with her fingers that told me she had my back.
"You should know that you can't get wine out of a white dress." I said with a casual smile.
Angel gave me an evil grin, that her daughter gave me before her.
"You know exactly what I meant." She stated. I sensed her hand reach into the folds of her dress. I struck out with my left fist for her stomach, then I punched up with my right one to her chin. She was knocked backwards, but she landed with grace and pulled out several stars and threw them at me. I spun on my toes and ducked to miss a few, I lifted Takara up to deflect the others. I then sent a wave of wind at her, which knocked her into a stall.
Quorra jumped over to my left and Lexi was suddenly at my right. Quorra had her guns in her hands, and Lexi had several throwing knives in hers.
"Where'd you come from?" I asked Lexi, as I flipped Takara into her sword from.
"Like I said, no one can catch me. Not even a glimpse." She said with an sly grin. I laughed.
"Alright then!" I gripped the top of my skirt and tore it off.
Really, the long skirt was a wrap. It covered the real skirt which was much shorter, so I had more movement.
"Wow. You have tons of tricks up your sleeve girl." Lexi commented. I chuckled.
"Let's get this over with." I said as I drew Takara behind me in my starting stance.
"You got it!" Lexi cried as she readied her knives.
"She's going down!" Quorra exclaimed, cocking her pistols and taking aim at the stall Angel had disappeared in.
There was silence for a moment, then a low rumble.
There was a mass explosion and all four stalls were tossed off their hinges and posts, and came flying at us.
I gripped my sword harder and moved in front of Lexi and my sister. I slashed it horizontally, sending a wall of wind at the deadly flying pieces. They fell to the ground and we looked up quickly at what had just happened.
Angel was there with her stars flying through her fingers in a deadly dance. She ran towards us, throwing her stars at us.
I used my Controlium and turned the stars in the opposite direction.
She realized what was happening a moment to late. One grazed her arm just as she spun out of the way, but she caught the rest in her hands.
Lexi spun around and threw her knives as I deflected another wave of stars.
Angel can be described in one word during a battle.
A ninja. No that's to nice. She's more like a monkey.

She jumped out of the way of Lexi's knives, as she stepped up onto one of the fallen poles of the stalls, she then jumped up against the wall of a corner then to the other side of the corner, she ran against the wall and flipped over all three of our heads and landed on Quorra's side. She threw more stars at Quorra, who spun around and pointed her guns at Angel. She squeezed the triggers and bullets shredded through Angel's side.
Not like that stopped her.
She jumped onto the counter and did a back flip over out heads (again) and her feet landed against the opposite wall.
She pushed against it and came at me head on with more stars dancing.
I waited till the last second before I jumped out of the way, and over her flying body, only in the opposite way she was headed. I positioned my feet over my head and lunged my sword downward.
She twisted her body around and suddenly I felt a massive pain rip though my shoulder and down my right arm. I was so shocked by the sudden blow that Takara fell out of my hand and I was slammed into the wall.
I cried out and gripped my new wound. I looked up and struggled to see my sister and Lexi fight with Angel as black blotches crossed through my vision.

Angel was caught between the two girls, ducking and spinning out of the way of Quorra's bullets and Lexi's knives. But the girls were always right there with her. I saw one of Lexi's knives pierce Angel's stomach, while Quorra bashed her upside the head with the butt of her pistols.
Angel was enraged and she suddenly drew upon a force, that knocked the two girls backwards. They were both rammed into walls and their heads slumped forward with an awful sounding crack that sent a shiver down my back.
I struggled to grasp my sword, but I gathered up my strength and lunged forward.
"Kylun!! Savrin!" I screamed as I dove for Angel.
We met in combat as I tried to get through her defenses with my wounded arm.
I gripped Takara with two hands in order to keep her steady, I heard a whoosh and sensed three more people in the room.
You, Kigo, and Savrin.
Finally!

Angel's eyes turned big as she was suddenly up against four people instead of just one.
Kigo's disks of fire were suddenly in his hands, Ryota's blue blade spun through the air as it came down on Angel. Shiro appeared in your hands as you dealt out spells of water.
I backed off long enough to lean against the wall and gather up energy to heal my wound.
I let out a sigh as the wound healed it's self and the pain went away.
I didn't waist any time diving back into battle with this crazed monkey lady.

Angel was now jumping from one wall to another hoping to escape us.
An idea started to form in my head as all we were able to do was deflect more stars as she moved rapidly from one wall to another.
"Sav! I have an idea." I yelled coming up next to him. He looked at me and nodded.
"Kigo! Kylun! Cover us!"
You both nodded, and I held out my hand to Savrin. He took it with out hesitating.
I opened up my heart to him, and he did to me.
For a moment we seemed to move as one person. I could see the battle through his eyes. And he could see it through mine. We were also open to each other's Powers. And he caught on to what I was thinking. He used his Power to know what would happen next, so I was able to tell where Angel was going to land next.
It was like it was happening in slow motion. I saw her flip from the mirror above the sinks, to the wall opposite of them. And just before her feet touched the wall, I used Controlium and made just that one section turn to back to cement, and her feet were stuck in it.
"Go!" I yelled, closing my heart back off, and letting go of Savrin's hand.
You and Kigo noticed what was going on and immediately ran up to her, trying to cut her where ever possible. But even in that state she still had a good defense.
I found my breathing shallow, and Takara felt heavy in my hand.
"Zaydie!" I looked up as I leaned on my knees. "Can you?"
You didn't form a complete sentence but I knew what you meant.
I ran over and grasped your hand.
"I'm running out of energy and stamina. So if I faint it's all your fault." I informed. You gave a curt nod and I reached out for Angel's stars. I took them from her hands, and Kigo went through with the death blow.
I let go of the cement, and Angel's dead body fell to the floor. Her stars dropped around her as I let them go as well.
I fell into you as my head started to get dizzy, and I couldn't support my weight anymore.
After a moment I remembered Lexi and Quorra.
I jumped up and scrambled over to my sister. I checked for a pulse and saw that it was faint. I placed my hand on her shoulder and healed what ever I could find both externally, and internally. She gasped and coughed out blood. But was fine. I did the same to Lexi.
Soon both girls were back up on their feet with their weapons in hand.
I leaned against the wall and tried to get air back into my lungs.
You knelt down beside me.
"Boy that sure does wipe a number out of you." I muttered as my breathing came shallow again. I forced my heart beat to slow down and tried to get a full breath.
"I know. Try to keep it going with a sword in your body. You got it easy." You muttered, as you moved my bangs out of my eyes and kissed my forehead.
A sudden memory relapse washed through me, and I saw Valadamir pierce your body with his sword again.
But that's when you lifted me up and I was drawn out of my memories.
"I can walk." I stated. You scoffed and readjusted your grip on me.
"Yeah right. You can barely keep your head up."
You fell quiet, we all did.
I suddenly heard guards outside, and they busted down the door and came in with guns pointed at us.
We all got wide eyed and froze.
The soldiers noticed the destroyed bathroom, and then Angel lying dead on the floor.
One yelled 'fire'.
You pulled up a shield around everyone and they all ran over to you.
"Ok Sav, do you think you can led me some power so I can get you all out of this mess?" You asked. Savrin nodded and I wiggled my way out of your arms and jumped back down to the ground.
I still couldn't stand by myself so I wrapped my arm around your waist for support.
Everyone linked hands together and I could feel you and Savrin share energy.
We were suddenly teleported from the bathroom in the Governor's house, to our hotel room.
When we realized that, we all let out a sigh of relief.
"It's not over yet kids."
We all stiffened.

                                                                    1000 Words

The piano notes seemed to float out into the air, stringing melodies of enchanting music that seemed to go on forever as it wove it's way through the ball room.
Sav was the first of you boys to ask one of us girls for a dance. (he asked Quorra of course. Haha)

I watched as they wove their way into the dancing ocean of people. Beaming up at each other. They were so perfect for each other! Ha! have been sense they were little.
You stepped in front of me and made a bow.
I chuckled and clutched the edges of my dress and dipped into a curtsy.
You then held out a hand and led me out to the dance floor.
We were soon lost in a dream, where there was nothing but clouds, stars, moonlight, beautiful melodies, there was no past, no future, just the moment. With no worries, and no enemies. Just the two of us and the Creator.

My eyes fell on your engagement necklace and I guess that was really when it hit me.
I was engaged.
I was going to get married. To you of all people! (not that that's a bad thing! It was just.... not what I would have expected that's all.)
I chuckled and shook my head. Sending my hair into a frenzy.
"What?"
"We're getting married." I said quietly. I looked up with sudden energy showing on my face. "We're actually getting married! Can you imagine that?!" I asked.
You laughed.
"Who'd thought? It is a little hard to imagine. But I think it's settling in." You said with a kiss.
The music ended and so did the dance. Stopping our dream, and ending the moment.
You locked me in your gaze. And I memorized your face with that precious smile I hardly ever saw.
"I like your new character a lot." I said quietly, giving an innocent smile. Your eyebrows raised. "Your more... happy."
"Well that's because I have something to be happy about." You said, wrapping your arms around me and giving me a hug.
"Excuse me everyone," I turned around in your arms as someone started to speak into the microphone. The DJ was talking. (Not that you could tell he was a DJ, he was in a suit with a bow tie. Hehe.)
"We now have a very special guest, who has kindly accepted our request to sing us a song. Let's give it up for Zaydie!"
I hid my face in your arms as everyone started to clap for me.
"Go on. You'll do just fine." I heard you whisper into my hair. You squeezed me tight and I walked over to the stage.
I stepped up next to the DJ and he handed over the microphone.
I smiled and waved at everyone.
"Hello." They started to stop clapping so they could hear. I chuckled, which sounded louder through the microphone. "It was hard not to pick out a Christmas song." I said. Everyone chuckled. "Christmas is just around the corner so I guess I was just excited. But um... This one is what I've been feeling over the past year. So... yeah." I found you in the crowd and sent a silent message. You got real attentive when you heard that. "Hope you all enjoy it." I finished.
I gave the DJ the queue and he started the music.
I swayed gently to the music as it ran through the beginning. Then raised the mic to my lips.

"I know that you're
Hiding things
Using gentle
Words
To shelter me.

Your words were like a
Dream
But dreams could never
Fool me.
Not that easily.

I acted so
Distant then
Didn't say
Goodbye before you left
But I was
Listening

You'll fight your
Battles far from me
Far too easily."

Everyone was real quiet as they swayed to the music. This upcoming part would be hard to do with out tears and memory relapses. Hard ones.

"'Save your tears
'Cause I'll come back'
I could hear that you
Whispered
As you walked through
That door.
But still I
Swore
To hide the pain when I
Turned back the pages.

Shouting might have been
The answer
What if I'd cried my eyes
Out
And begged you not to
Depart?
But now I'm not afraid
To say what's in
My heart."

I could see pain wash over your face and I quickly glanced away before your emotion penitraited the emotional barrier I had put up so I wouldn't melt into tears.

"Though a
Thousand words
Have never been
Spoken
They'll fly to you
Crossing over the
Time and distance
Holding you
Suspended on silver wings

And a
Thousand words
One thousand confessions
Will cradle you
Making all of the
Pain you feel seem
Far away
They'll hold you forever."

Everyone clapped as I held the last note. That part was from my heart. It was true. Over the past year I had talked to the shadows. Whispering to them like you were still there. Speaking out my feelings, what I was going through. But I'm not sure you ever heard me.

"The dream isn't
Over yet
Though I often say
I can forget
I still relive that day
'You've been there with
Me all the way'
I still hear you say.

'Wait for me,
I'll write you letters.'
I could see how you
Stammered with your eyes
To the floor
But still I swore to hide the
Doubt when I turned back the pages.

Anger might have been the
Answer.
What if I'd hung my head and
Said that I couldn't wait?
But now I'm
Strong enough
to know it's not too late."

At times... It did feel like that. I did feel like I just wanted to give up on you. Tell myself that you were never coming back. But look what I would have missed if I had did that?

"'Cause a
Thousand words
Call out through the
Ages
They'll fly to you
Even though I can't see
I know they're
Reaching you
Suspended on silver wings.

Oh, a thousand words
One thousand embraces
Will cradle you
Making all of your
Weary days seem
Far away
They'll hold you forever

Oh, a thousand words
Have never been spoken
They'll fly to you
They'll carry you
Home and back into
My arms
Suspended on silver wings.
Ohhh."

I carried the last note, dropping and raising my voice as I closed my eyes. I could heard people distantly clapping when I dropped the note finally. But it seemed far away.

"And a
Thousand words
Call out through the
Ages
They'll cradle you
Turning all of the
Lonely years to
Only days!
They'll hold you forever!"

I then vocalized a little bit at the end. Not going very high, but it still sounded pretty.

"A thousand words."

I ended the slow song and finally opened my eyes as the last note of the song faded into the quiet.
People were getting emotional, and I noticed that none of them were looking at me. They were watching someone else.
I followed their gaze as I suddenly noticed that you were making your way over to the stage, and before I know it you were hugging me, right in front of all of those people.
Ok to be one hundred percent honest, I was shocked. So shocked that I didn't respond at first.
I had never seen you display such emotions in front of people (other then our little gang) before!
But I finally got over the shock and a smile crept onto my face as I wrapped my arms around you and returned the hug.

I heard the crowd let out a sigh, as you let go and took my hand and lead me back down off the stage. (after I had handed the mic back to the DJ.)
The dancing music started up again and more people started dancing, others came over and gave me congratulations and all.
An older man came up and gave you a slap on the back.
"You hold on to her young man. She's a keeper." I blushed and ducked my head.
"Yeah I plan too." You said, looking at me. The man spotted our engagement necklaces.
"Ah! I see. Well congrats to the new couple. And may your lives be blessed."
I nodded.
"Thank you."
The man nodded and walked off.

I suddenly heard something that didn't go with the music that was playing. It was still music, but it wasn't the same music.
"Zaydie!" I turned to see Quorra behind me. "Your ringing."
At first I had no idea what she was talking about. But then I remembered my cell phone.
I slipped my hand in the pocket as Quorra stood behind me to conceal what I was doing.
I pulled out the phone and answered it.
You guided me off to the side of the dancing floor.
"Hello?"
"Zaydie! You have to get out of there! -"
"Who is this?"
"Lexi!"
My jaw dropped and I turned to the three of you.
"Lexi what's wrong?"
"They've found me out. I didn't tell them where you are, but I know they'll try to get that out of me. You have to get out of there. Forget Angel and find some safe place!" She sounded stressed, and also tense. I could just imagine her glancing over her shoulder, scarred someone would catch her.
"Lexi we can't. We'll take care of Angel, and then we'll get out of here, I promise." I said as I glanced around. The three of you were standing watch while trying to appear natural.
"Ok. Do you need my help?"
"Um... How fast can you get here? we might need back up?"
"I'll be there in three minutes."
"Ok meet Kigo in the computer room."
"Ok. Just be careful Zaydie."
"I will." I then snapped the phone shut and slipped it back into the pocket.
"Ok Lexi's cover has been blown, so she's coming here." I said in a quiet tone. "She'll serve as backup with Kigo. We just have to find Angel and get this over with!" I said desperately.
Everyone nodded, and we got down to business.
"Before we go out and do this. Let's ask the Creator for protection." You said suddenly.
Sav was slightly taken aback, because that was usually his line. But we all nodded and formed a circle with linked hands.
"Creator, protect us and don't leave us as we dive into this battle. Help us know what we're doing is the right thing. And please keep us safe as we fight this new enemy. We're in your hands."
"Amen." We all chanted after you were finished.
"All right. Let's go."

                                                    Preparations

The next morning we all hurried about crazy like.
We weren't entirely sure who would all go in.
We needed someone outside to tell us what was going on and where to go.
But we all so needed enough people inside to take down someone who probably has more training then us.
So yeah... it was crazy.

"I could stay outside." Kigo suggested. "And I don't do suits so I'll stay out, tell you what's going on and where to go. And be your back up."
I nodded.
"Ok that's fine. Now for the four of us...." I turned to the rest of us. "Oh boy. Quorra we're going to have to work over time with these guys. We can't afford any more salon's, we can get the clothes, rent the tuxes that kind of thing but... we'll have to deal with their hair."
Quorra nodded and we immediately started to look for places that had what we needed, along with the cheapest prices.

Knock, knock

Kigo got the door and I heard him talking with someone.
"Zaydie, someone here has a request." He called, mocking a bow as I came up.
I pushed him away and came in front of the door.
"yes?"
I was shocked by how cute the boy was. (Hey I'm sorry ok! I'm a girl I notice these kind of things! So just let it slide.)
"You Zaydie?" He asked.
"Yup. Or I wouldn't be standing here." I remarked. He scoffed.
"This is for you, from the Governor. Hope to see you there." Then he left before I could ask anything else.
I shut the door and walked back inside. Looking at the envelope the boy had handed me.
I hummed as I plopped myself down on the chair with my feet over the arm rest.
"Who was that?" Quorra asked.
"Some messenger boy." I slipped my finger in to the envelope and ripped it open.
I pulled out a gold page.
"Ooh! Somebody's got an invitation to the ball." Quorra stated. Peaking over my shoulder.
"Huh?" Sav came over.
"It says, We're all invited to the ball tonight. With one condition.... oh boy...."
"What? Say it. Say it." All of you guys coaxed.
"I have to sing... again."
All you boys started to laugh at me while Quorra got serious.
"Ok that's fine. Um.... we need to go shopping yet again. Brother. Come on sis. Let's get going or we're not going to make it to the stupid ball."
She wasn't in a good mood. Oh dear.
I got up and set the invite on the counter.
"Come let's go." I said turning to my sister. She nodded.
"Come on boys." She ordered and we all marched out.
Why is it that half of the time we always are getting new clothes?! This is insane. ugh.

                                                       ++++

The clothes shopping went by quickly. We manily just bought the first thing that fit us. We didn't have time to.
Back in the hotel room it was 5:00. Only three hours.

"Ok. One of you go jump through the shower," I told you and Sav. You both nodded and you walked off. "Quorra, can you get the outfits ready?"
"Yup."
I walked over to Kigo who was pulling various things out of his pockets. Which included small weapons, and coms.
"Here all of you are going to need these. There small and no one will notice them." He handed over an ear piece. "You just place it in your ear and they'll blend right in." He explained. I nodded and placed four of them at the end of the table.
"Does your dress have any pockets?" He asked.
"Yeah, several. I made sure of it." I answered. He handed over a small switch blade.
"Hold onto that for me will ya?"
I gave a curt nod and slipped it into my pocket.
We were really going to have to do it this time.

After everyone had taken showers we all changed.
My dress was a cream color and tied crisscross up my back. It was short sleeved with slightly puffy sleeves.
The skirt was not poofy, but not exactly slim, it did have lots of room though.
It was trimmed in green, (the sash for example) and I tossed my brown hair up into a pony tail with small green flowers stuck into it.
Slipping my feet into sandals, Quorra came in.
She wore a red dress that was roomy, and fit her nicely. It was a Greek styled dress, so it had gold ribbons wrapping around the dress.
"Come on, the boys are waiting." She said, jerking her head over her shoulder. Her blond hair had been curled slightly and pinned up in places, but mostly fell down around her shoulders.
"Ok."
We both walked out to find you and Sav dressed and ready to go.
"Well at least we don't have to do anything with your hair." I said as I came up next to them. You chuckled.
"Ok here, put them in your ear and test them out to make sure their working." Kigo handed each of us an ear piece.
I managed to put mine in and was relieved that everyone else had been able too.
I clasped my hand over the back of my dress. In between the bodice and skirt line was a pocket that I kept both the switch blade, and my cell phone. Just in case.
"I'll break into the computer room knock out the guards, you know the drill. Then I'll contact you and tell you what's going on. Keep to the plan. And remember I'm your back up so if you need me,  just give me a shout."
We all nodded and then us girls linked hands with you.

In a flash all four of us were walking up the steps of the Governor's personal home. A tall building that had warm lights glowing in all the windows. At least it looked inviting.
At the door I handed over the invite and the guards lets us pass.
Inside we were guided to an elevator and taken up to the 5th floor.
Once the doors opened we stepped into a huge ball room, crammed pack with people.

As soon as I stepped into the room, I was spotted and people started coming over saying how great I was, and how talented I was to have such a beautiful voice.
"My daughter heard you once and she loves your voice." One man said. I smiled.
"Thank you." I groped around behind me to make sure you were still there and hadn't left me. I found your hand and squeezed on tight. You squeezed back as you intertwined our fingers.
"I would love to get to talk to all of you but I have to talk to the DJ and see what he has planned for me to sing." I said kindly, as I moved off.
"Of course. We look forward to your appearance." They all called after me. I nodded and walked off into the crowd.
"Whoa! Girl I didn't think you had gotten that popular!" Quorra remarked coming up next to me.
I shook my head.
"Me neither!"
"How many shows have you done?" You asked, coming up beside me.
"Only one major show. But I use to work in a teen friendly club thing in Tybolt. But that was it."
"Well obviously it made an impression."
I nodded in agreement.
"Yeah... obviously."
We finally found the DJ and he and I started to negotiate what song I was to sing.
We were finally able to decide on one song that was slow and gentle, yet had real meaning to me anyway, and the DJ said it would show off my talents. Which was true because it got high at points.
"When am I suppose to sing?" I asked.
"Not till latter this evening. Don't worry I'll call you when it's time."
I nodded my thanks, and turned around to look out at the crowd.
You stood casually with your hands in your pockets, on the steps to the stage. Looking up at me with a smile.
You held out your hand, and I took it.
"You'll do fine Kana." You whispered as you led me down to the dance floor.
I think I might have blushed.

                                         Good-bye Vecina, Hello Lothomer!

I healed my leg and it was slightly stiff afterwards, but other then that it was good.
I ran into the bathroom with my pack and changed back into my more comfortable outfit with the green shirt, black skirt, and white boots.

I walked out holding Yura and my saber - rod in my hands.
“Don’t you think we should return these? now that our cover’s blown and all.” I asked, lying them down on the kitchen counter.
“Yeah probably be best if we want to stay on Jinx’s good side.” Rix said. Everyone who had gotten guns from Jinx pilled them onto the counter.
I nodded.
“All accounted for?” I asked. Everyone nodded. “Alrighty then. On your way!” I waved my hand over the weapons. Using my Controlium Power to lift them up.
I shot them out the door, giggling as I did.
That sure was an odd picture. Weapons floating in mid air. I sped them up so they would just appear like a blur to people on the ground, or in the air.
I led them to Jinx’s layer and placed them on a table... I think. I then let them go and turned back to everyone who was starring at me.
“What?” I asked with a smile.
“That’s just weird.” Rix stated.
“’Weird’?! That’s freakin’ awesome!!” Kigo shouted. Getting really excited. “What else can you guys do?!”
“Lots of stuff. But how can you make fire?” I asked turning to him. He just gave me a smile.
“There’s a lot of different kinds of Marks, and a lot of different kinds of magic Skye.”
“It’s Zaydie.” I corrected.
He nodded.
“Ok! My turn I have been waiting all afternoon!!” Quorra piped up. I looked at you and you smiled, giving me a reassuring nod. “This has been torture! Now!” Now she turned into mom. Oh boy.
“What the heck were you two doing at midnight last night? Where were you?!”
“We were dancing.” I answered.
“Dancing?”
“And talking.”
“Dancing and talking.... I don’t believe you.”
You sighed and came up next to me.
“I proposed to her last night.” You said.

That stopped everyone cold in their tracks except Kigo and Savrin.
“You - what?” Quorra asked.
I nodded and smiled.
“That’s what this is.” I said, taking my pendent in my hand. “He has one just like it.”
You nodded.
“You what?! And you didn’t talk to me first?!” She demanded. Getting all ‘mommy - like’ on us.
“Um Quorra. Your not my dad. And dad isn’t here. So he could ask me with out your permission, and he did.” I said with a stern look.
“I never said anything about asking me for permission. I simply wanted to know before you did that way I had something to rub in your face.” She explained. Looking up at me innocently, all former anger gone.
I shook my head and chuckled.
I swung my arm over her shoulder and pulled her head down and gave her a knuckle sandwich.
“You noisy butt!” I said.
“Ow! Ow! Ow! Zaydie stop!” She cried with laughter.
I let go and pushed her away playfully.
She stumbled into Sav who caught her before she brought them both down.
“Watch it Quorra.” He muttered.
She shook her head and looked up at him with a smile.
“Yeah, yeah. You’re always there to catch me so life’s good.” He rolled his eyes and chuckled.
“Alright guys lets get going.” You said. Breaking up the party. (how dare you! just kidding!) “We have a lot of ground to make. I still can’t teleport you all, so we’ll have to go in groups of three.”
“Wait, you need to take Matrix back to Mecca.” I said. You gave me a curt nod.
“Ok, that’s fine, but I’ll go last. You take them first.” He said.
“Alright, Quorra -”
He was cut off by sudden gun shots.
Quorra and I screamed as everyone hit the deck.

The gun shots went on for a while till they finally stopped. We peaked over the counter and saw that everything in the apartment was ruined.
I could hear footsteps falling on broken glass. Lots of them.
“We know your in here. You can’t hid forever.”
Willa.

We were all quiet, till suddenly she was right behind us. Along with several other members.
They brought out their weapons and we brought out ours. They wasted no time in trying to kill us either.
Willa came on to me. Like I knew she would.
I brought Takara up, along with my blue body armor. I could hear battles going on all around me.
People yelling, groaning, even screaming.
I deflected Willa’s stars and then moved off to find Quorra lying on the ground with a gun shot in her upper leg.
“Kylun!” I shouted.
I slid on glass to get to my sister while ducking under blades that tried to cut my head off.
We met up at her and I looked at you and Savrin, who was keeping the pressure on the wound.
“Take them! Take them now! Get them somewhere safe. Kigo, Matrix and I will hold them off. Just do it quick.” I ordered, looking desperately into your eyes.
“No I’m not going to leave you here!”
“Kylun this is no time for arguing! Just do it! I can take care of myself.” I ordered again more sternly this time. I rose to my feet and looked out as Kigo and Matrix fought back to back.
“They won’t survive with out me. So just hurry up and do it!”
I guess I didn’t really give you a choice now did I?

I ran up into the heart of the battle and blocked swords and gun shots with Takara in shield form. I then quickly flipped her and kept my armor up. She turned into her sword form and I met one of the boys in battle.
There was a sudden sliding footsteps on glass, and I saw Lexi standing at my back.
“Is it true?” She asked. Blocking sword blows with nothing but her arms. I saw now that she was wearing armor. Her arms were covered and so where her hands.
She gave several punches and then ducked as I swung Takara over her head to slice a member’s chest.
“What?” I asked. Pulling up a small vortex that consumed more stars.
“Are you really a Chosen One?”
“Yup.” I said as I ducked and swept a members feet out from under him. I then bashed Takara’s butt into his head, knocking him unconscious.
“Good. Zaydie, I promise. You can count on me. I’ll be there when you need me.” She said stopping her fight and turning to me.
This was the one time I really got a better look at her.
She wore a black and white band around her head that had long tassels down her back. (Though most of it was covered by her short black hair)
She wore shorts with tough six - inch boots. Above them she wore a form of shin guards. Only they were made of silver metal.
She had on a tank top shirt that was black trimmed in white. It had a hood on the back I noticed. And then she wore a leather vest with it.
I smiled.
“Thanks Lexi. I welcome any help I can get.”
She smiled and nodded.
“Duck!”
I followed her orders and she did a round - house kick and knocked someone in the jaw hard, landing him on the ground so hard that the floor gave away slightly under his head.
“Good. Here. Call me if you ever need me. I’ll stay with The Fallen, so I’ll give you up dates.” She shouted. Tossing me a piece of cloth. I looked down and saw a number ripped in it. I tucked it in between my skirt and belt, then got back to fighting.

I saw that Matrix was taking down tons and tons of enemies, but I couldn’t tell with what.
Kigo was burning his. Such a lovely guy. Ugh. Though he did have these deadly round disks that he fought with that looked to be made of fire as well. But he still fought brutally.
Lexi and I fought together most of the time and we did pretty good. She always had my back which was nice.

I found Willa observing the battle for a moment. There wasn’t many of them left to fight. four or five actually.
You came back and grabbed the boys seeing as us girls were in the midst of a fight.
We were coming to the last few when Willa gave a shriek of a whistle.
“Fall back! We’ll catch them latter.” She ordered. I noticed that she was the first one out of there.
The few left standing followed her suit and ran out of the apartment building.
I turned to Lexi who was examining herself for any major injuries.
“Dang it.” She muttered.
“Let me see.”
She pointed to a deep cut on her upper leg.
“Do you want me -”
“Yeah if you can.”
I nodded and swept my hand over the cut. Yellow light washed over it and it looked good as new.
“There you go!” I said. Jumping up.
“You hurt?” she asked. I shook my head.
“Nope I’m just fine. But hey, be careful in there. She’ll suspect you.”
Lexi laughed.
“Don’t worry. I’m way to fast for her.” You appeared and looked surprised when you found all the enemies moaning on the ground. The apartment was smoldering in flames, and it looked like the owner would be doing some major renovations.
“Well just give me a call when ever you need me.” She shouted as she ran out the door.
“Ok bye!”
“Did you two do all this?” You asked. Coming up beside me and gesturing to the ring of fallen members.
I nodded.
“Yup! Just the two of us.” I answered.
“Whoa... I guess you can take care of yourself.”
I scoffed and slapped your arm. You chuckled and pulled me close. Then teleported us.
Away from the apartment.
And Vecina.

Next thing I knew I was on a busy street of a city I didn’t know. You took my hand and led the way down an alley.
There I found Kigo, Savrin and Quorra. She was bleeding and bad.
I ran over and found the gunshot wound.
I placed my hand on the open wound and it healed it’s self up.
She let out a sigh of relief and relaxed. And fell asleep actually.
I turned and let out a breath.
“Good job. Now how about we go scout this place for a place to bunk down for now.” You suggested. I nodded and took your hand when you offered it.

                                                   ++++

Lothomer is big, tall, and pointy.
Those are the three words that best describe it.
And I’m being dead serious!

All of the buildings are of various shapes and size along with colors. (Though their usually a dull color like gray, silver, black that kind of idea) But they all seemed to have a pointy end to the roofs.
Like the back of the roof would come up into a point that curled over the roof it’s self. And every roof had one!!
It kind of looked like pointy hats.
But yes that is what Lothomer looked like.
Also there were tons, and tons, and tons of bridges!
Like the whole city was built off the ground, and had bridges that made their roads and walk ways. I mean they had bridges over their bridges it was crazy!!
Cool, but crazy just the same.

We walked across one bridge that linked with another. Each bridge had floating letters above it so you knew where you were going by what sector you were in. Sector 2 was all food. Like markets and stuff. Sector 5 was shopping districts and so on and so on.

We finally found a hotel and booked a room. You then teleported back to get Kigo, Sav and Quorra.
The hotel room had two bedrooms, two baths, a complete kitchen. And a lounge room.
You boys carried Quorra into one of the bedrooms and she went to sleep.
Everyone else then collapsed in the living room.

“Alrighty... now what?” Kigo asked.
“... Good question.” I answered.
“I believe that’s where I come in.” We all turned to find Tasin sitting on the counter, swinging her legs back and forth like a little kid.
“You have already figured out who here is corrupted correct?” She asked.
We nodded.
“And you have figured out her status here in the government right?”
Again we nodded.
“Then you just have to take her out. And then quickly move on to Ulrikima.”
“Ok that’s the general plan Tasin. We need like... a plan on how to do that plan.” I said.
“Ah! Well see you didn’t say that!” She said with a smile.
“You didn’t ask.” I heard you mutter. I jabbed my elbow into your ribcage. “Ow!”
“Be nice.” I muttered.
I heard you take a deep breath and you nodded.
“Ok let’s see... Well the easiest thing to do is to storm in there and kill her.
“Um... that might not be the best thing to do.” I pointed out.
“No it’s not and i didn’t say it was. Here’s what you can do....”

                                                             ++++

It’s a good thing I’m not coming up with the battle plans or we’d be in big trouble!
I’ve always been a better fighter then planner.
I can’t say the same for Tasin and the boys though.
We soon had a plan to follow that involved a ball. So obviously I was in!
Haha!

I pulled up a map of Lothomer on my tablet.
“Well I have to go. I’ll be back.” I called as I moved towards the door.
“Where do you think your going?” You asked. Jumping up and leaning against the doorway. Blocking my way out.
“I am going shopping.” I stated.
“Shopping?! We’re talking about war. And you are thinking about shopping?”
I sighed. Ok, so we haven’t exactly known each other that long, so I’ll excuse it this time.
“Kylun. That’s what us girls do best. Shop. Now unless of course you don’t want eat then I guess I can give my hand at making battle plans.” I said with a sweet smile. “But just ask Sav. He knows how well that goes.”
“Yeah. Let her do her shopping thing. Hey can you make that chili tonight?” Sav piped up.
I took my tablet out and brought up a notebook page.
“Chili.... the one with the green beans and cheese?” I asked him.
“Yup. That’s the one.”
“Sure.”
I quickly wrote down the ingredients and slipped the tablet back in my pocket.
“I forgot that you haven’t had my home cooking yet.” I remarked, turning back to you.
You raised your eyebrows.
“It’s to die for! Especially those omelets she makes.” Sav cut in.
I chuckled.
You sighed and moved out of the way.
“Alright just call me up if you get lost. And be careful.” You warned.
I nodded and smiled.
“I will.”
I then had to stand on my tip toes in order to give you a light kiss, then I walked out the door and into the sunshine.
Now... on to the shopping!

“On second thought. I’m coming with you.” You announced, jogging to catch up.
I smiled up at you.
“Ok. That’s fine with me.”
“Yeah well it wasn’t really a question.” You said with a grin.
“Well then I guess it’s a good thing I don’t mind you coming along.” I sad as I looked at the map. Once I got the directions, I started off.
For the next hour or so, we walked around the market places as I gathered the ingredients for the chili.

“Make my wish
come true.
Let darkness
fade to light..... Hmhmmhm.”
“Do you still not remember the rest of it?” You asked.
“No. I’m actually shocked that I knew that part!” I remarked. I picked up a tomato and studied it. Then placed it and several others in a plastic bag.
“Thank you.” I said kindly as I gave the woman behind the stand some creds.
Then I moved on.
“Well let me know when you’ve remembered the whole song, ‘kay?”
“Why is it so important to you? I still don’t know where I know this song. It just seems to come to me at really random times. It’s bazaar really.”
I said as a bought several onions.
“Hmm... I’ll tell you once you remember. Sorry but i can’t please everyone.”
I sighed.
“Yeah... just like I can’t please Sav tonight. Can’t find any green peppers.... Hmm guess it’s just old fashion chili with cheese.” I muttered.
I wasn’t really upset that you wouldn’t tell me. By now I’m use to you and your secrets. at first it offended me. But now I know that you always have my best interest at heart.

“Oh my goodness! Who on the Creator’s precious planet, did your hair?!”
I turned around in surprise to see who was talking, and if he was even talking to me.
I found a man with his head poked out of a shop.
A salon shop. Oh my.
“Um... excuse me?” I asked, turning to him.
“Your hair! It’s been done horribly! I can tell that it’s not your natural hair color, am I right?”
“Um... no sir. I’m a natural burnet.”
“Ah I see. And a burnet you will be. Come with me. Leave your fiancĂ© out here. Consider it my congratulations gift.”
“Uh...” He took my bags out of my hands and gave them over to you, then whisked me away inside. You chuckled.
“Have a good time!” You called after me.

Inside the salon, the man sat me down in a chair and started to look at my hair more closely.
“nutmeg brown was it?”
I nodded. “Well we can get it back there in no time!” He then dashed off and brought back a tool. It looked like a flat iron.
“Um what are you doing exactly?” I asked as he started to take my hair and run it through the tool.
“I am getting rid of the die someone put in your hair, so then it’ll turn back to your natural color and look much, much better. See.” He placed ten strands of hair that had just been through the tool, over my should so I could see them better in a mirror.
My jaw dropped. They were now my natural nutmeg brown color!
“And your doing this all for free? I thought it would cost a lot.” I asked.
He waved his hand as he continued to do my hair.
“Oh no dear. I do this for free to anyone. But your hair was just done so horribly that I had to do something!” He remarked. Well there goes Mama Bear’s work. Right down the drain.
Oh well It was kind of nice when he finished it, because now, at least I looked like me.
“There you go my dear. Now you had better get back to your fiancĂ© so he doesn’t eat all the food you just bought.”
I jumped up and smiled at the man.
“Thank you so much Mr....?”
“That’s not important. Just be on your way child. I’m sure I’ll see you some time down the road. Bye bye now!”
I waved goodbye and walked out of the salon. I looked down at my hair and gave it a tug. Making sure it was actually mine.

Outside I found you eating a fruit. But thankfully it wasn’t one I had just bought.
“There you are I was wondering when you’d be done....” I guess the sudden change was so shocking because you dropped the fruit. I lunged forward and saved it just before it hit the ground.
“Better be careful, next time I might not be there to save your fruit and then where would you be?” I asked with a smile. Holding out the fruit.
You reached out and gave my hair a tug.
“Ouch. Yes it actually is my hair you dummy.” I said with a laugh.
I then walked off to the next market stall and bought some canned beans.
“Okey dokey that’s all I need, so lets head back shall we?” You nodded and we started our trek back to the hotel room.

Back at the room, I started to cook the chili up. And soon a really tasty smelling aroma came out of the pot.
“Oh someone’s making chili - Whoa! Zaydie what did you do?!”
I smiled as Quorra stumbled into the kitchen.
“Someone was nice enough to take all of the black die out of my hair.” I answered.
Quorra’s jaw dropped.
“Are you serious?!”
I nodded.
“Yup. Now come on you guys! While the chili’s still hot!” I called. Setting out the numbered bowls and spoons.
Stood by the pot as the boys came in, nicely letting Quorra go first.
Sav motioned for me to get mine.
I did quickly because I saw that they were getting hungry, and a little rambunctious.
Then I watched closely as all three of you boys scooped up your bowls and headed to the table.
Quorra had laid out napkins at each chair, though Sav had a nasty habit of not using his.
So as a solution for this, she sat next to him and slapped his hand every time he made a move to wipe them off on his pants.
He rolled his eyes at me. And I made a 'tisk tisk' sound with my tongue.
"Sav your going to have to work on your manners. It's rude to the hostess! And maybe next time you'll get bread and water." I warned with a grin as I placed my napkin on my lap.
"Yeah that'll be the day." He muttered as he scooped more food into his mouth.
Ok. Next time, he was going to get bread and water!

You helped me out with the dishes after we had finished eating. The other three sat around the table talking about random stuff, and I started humming a song.
"Sing it to me." You said as you dipped a dish into the soppy water.
I chuckled nervously. Oh boy.
"Come on please?" You begged. Looking at me with puppy eyes, whether you meant to or not I don't know.
I sighed.

"Remember me...
Don't forget me...

I swear to you I won't.
I swear to you I'll stay true.

Even if all the days
Go by,
Even if the stars
fall by.
I'll stay true.

I could be sleeping
A thousand years,
And never
Forget your face.
I could be far away,
but I would always
feel safe.

I will always be yours,
That will never
Change.
Nothing will ever change...
And if it must,
I won't.

So remember me...
Please don't forget me...
Because I can never...
Forget you."

Man I felt like such a hypocrite!
There I go making a promise to you saying 'I won't ever forget you' and then there I go forgetting!
You smiled at me.
"It's true. I never forgot you. And I never will." You chuckled. "Especially now." You gestured to my necklace.
I nodded, but I felt my face betraying me.
"You ok?"
I sniffed and took the stack of bowls I had been drying and put them away.
I took a towel and dried my hands of, then messed with it.
Savrin came up to you and said something quietly. You nodded and the three of them walked out of the hotel room.
Uh-oh.

"What's wrong Zaydie?" You asked, taking the towel out of my hands.
"Why do you ask if something's wrong?" I questioned. I was just wondering how you could read me so well.
"Because you get all moody and quiet. And there's not smile on your face." You answered. Wiping your hands off.
"Oh..." I pulled myself up onto the counter and folded my hands down in front of me.
"I guess... It's because I feel like traitor." I muttered. Keeping my eyes down cast as I twisted my skirt between my hands.
"A traitor?"
I nodded.
"How?"
"Well... Like the song, I feel like such a hypocrite."
You were quiet for a minute. But I didn't look up. I just kept fiddling with my skirt.
"Zaydie... You never really forgot me." You said gently. Placing your hands on top of mine. "If you think about it, I was still there. I wasn't completely gone."
"Yeah but do you know how hard it was to try and remember what you looked like before... you changed? I couldn't remember at all! I couldn't even remember your name! And I feel really bad about it."
"Don't. I don't take it to personally." You said with a chuckle. But that didn't make me feel any better.
You sighed and lifted me off the counter.
"Look. You said I was replaced with another guy that you hadn't seen before right?"
I nodded and still looked down at my feet.
"He looks exactly like me doesn't he?"
Again I nodded. I didn't need to look at you. I already had you hammered into my brain.
"Then you didn't forget me! The Creator showed you what I looked like when I changed. So you always knew what I looked like."
"But how could I -"
"Zaydie it doesn't matter." You lifted my chin up, making me meet your gaze.
"Look. I'm here now. I'm not leaving again. I promise. Not with out you. So stop moping."
"I don't mope!" I stated crossing my arms and stomping my foot a little. Though I couldn't do it with out a smile.
You laughed.
"I've heard that one before."
"But how can you be sure?"
A sad look crossed your face.
"I can't. You have to hang on to the Creator. He's the one thing that wont change. Hold on to him tighter then me... but don't let me go while your at it."
I chuckled.
"I won't. That's a promise." I said with a wink. "But that doesn't exactly make me feel any better."
You sighed.
"Zaydie you worry, way to much!!" You said with a laugh.
"What can I say? I'm just like that." I muttered. "I can't be somebody I'm not."
"I know. And that's just something we're going to have to work through together. 'Together' being the key word there."
I smiled and nodded.
"Alright alright. You win." I laughed. "We really have switched places. Oh boy."
You chuckled.
"Don't worry, It's only a matter of time before we switch back." You said.
I shook my head and walked over to the table to clear the napkins and glasses.
"Well now that that's settled." I said with a smile as I placed the glasses on the counter.
"Where did everyone go?"
You shrugged.
"I have no clue. But they said they'd call us before they came back."
"Oo-kay then. How do we plan on getting invites for this ball?" I asked walked back to the table and grabbing more stuff.
"Who said anything about invites?"
I laughed.
"Your bad."
"Yeah I know. But desperate times call for desperate measures." You stated with a grin as you wiped the table down.
"So I've noticed."
"Can you wear something pretty?"
I stopped in mid step and turned on my heel.
"If I had enough creds maybe. I get what I can. But I won't pick out something ugly if that's what you mean." I said with a slight smile.
"Well ok no I didn't mean it that way. I'm sure you could make pretty much anything look pretty." You said, stopping what you were doing and looking at me.
"Well thank you." I walked back into the kitchen and set the glasses down.
"Ok say I did have creds. What do you mean by pretty?"
You shrugged.
"What kind of style, color that sort of thing. Anything in particular?"
You bit your bottom lip.
"I don't know!" We both laughed. "I'm a guy, I can tell you hundreds of different kinds of weapons, but when it comes to clothes, I'm lost."
I nodded.
"Just something that's not dark. Ok?"
I smiled.
"That I can do. So when is this ball anyway?"
"Tomorrow night."
So much to do,
So little time.

                                             We have a plan

“Get down!” I shouted propelling you across the room. I didn’t have time to see where you landed, I turned around and grabbed the Captain’s rod.
“You are in a very desperate situation aren’t you young lady?” He asked in a groan.
“Depends on how you define desperate!” I cried as I yanked his weapon away from him with a spur of energy. I spun it around in my hands and held it out beside me.
I then moved it against the Captain in a dance of twirls as I moved closer. He backed off slowly as I moved forward.
“Why would you want to end us? we have done nothing but try to bring peace to Dresher.” He said in a massive plea.
I scoffed.
“Somehow I doubt the fact that you ever really wanted peace for Dresher. You just want it for yourself!” I moved forward a step and he backed into a wall. I raised the pole above my head. With a scream I was about to bring it down.

“Zaydie... remember who you are.... and what you stand for.... and who you represent.”

The Creator was right. I couldn’t go around killing people who weren’t armed. Even to the likes of him. I brought the pole down tip first and drove it into the floor.
The Captain was shocked when he saw what I did. Though I could only see it in his eyes. He just looked mad and angry.
“Why don’t you just finish it?” He asked.
“Because I don’t kill people that are unarmed. Unlike someone I know!” I said angrily.

I took several steps back and tried to regain my breath.
“Your mistake.” He growled, pulling his weapon out of the floor.
“We need back up.” You said. Pointing out the obvious. yet again.
“yeah I know. I know.” I said. I was trying to think of a way to get a hold of Savrin. But I certainly could call him in middle of a battle!

There was a sudden wash of sunlight, and Tasin stood in front of us, yet not in a solid form. She was more like... mist.
“What do you need?” she asked.
“Well Sav and Quorra would be nice.” I said. She nodded.
“Alright. I’ll get them here. That’s a promise.” She then disappeared in wisps of light.
“Now... to hold off on our own till then... oh yeah this’ll be a pleasure ride.” You muttered.
I took a deep breath and steadied myself.
I summoned Takara again, and readied myself.
“You are pathetic.” The Captain spat as he braced himself.
“Really? ‘Cause last I checked, you were the one sitting on your butt.” You stated, slinging Shiro over you shoulder. I shook my head. Iyiyi.
“It must have been hard to try and live on with out each other now wasn’t it?”
“What does that have to do with anything?” I asked.
“Oh everything my dear. It just goes to prove how weak you are. You thought everything was over once you had finished off the Puppeteer, and that President. But really, that was just the beginning. Yet you sat around moping.”
I groaned.
“I wasn’t moping!” I charged forward with Takara raised. I met his pole halfway there, and he twisted it. Locking my blade with the upper part of his weapon. And then he twisted it and the bottom of his pole, and plunging it into my leg.
I cried out and looked down.
I gasped as I saw the blade go through one side of my leg, and protrude out the other.
I couldn’t move. He had ripped through all the muscle in my right leg. Not to mention that it was in there in such a way that that I couldn’t even move if I wanted to!
“No!” You shouted.
The Captain jerked the blade out of my leg and I screamed.
I fell backwards and landed on the ground hard.
The Captain loomed over me as I tried to keep from screaming. He moved the ripped fabric of my jacket and shirt to reveal my Mark.
“And I thought you could do better then that.” He said.
He raised the pole for a death blow.
“Oh no you don’t!!”
I was startled, because it wasn’t you who shouted that!
Suddenly the Captain was up in flames. Red hot flames!
And I knew for a fact that none of us could do that!!

The Captain screamed and fell to his knees as the flames scorched his body.
Then there was a bright light and he became nothing but ashes.
Out from the smoldering flames, came Kigo.

I gasped as he grinned down at me.
“I told you I had your back.” He said. I nodded. I looked over my shoulder and saw you come up next to me.
“Yeah. Guess I should have trusted you more.” I muttered. I gasped as pain shot through my leg again.
You bent down in front of me.
“Can you heal it?” You asked. I shook my head.
“No. I’m to tired. My energy’s leaving fast, I used up most of it when I healed myself the first time.”
You nodded. Then both of you boys picked me up with one of my arms on each of your shoulders.
I gasped as my foot met with a little body weight.
“Lean on us. Don’t worry about trying to support yourself.” Kigo said. I nodded and let them take my body weight.
I looked up as I heard racket from the end of the tunnel. I suddenly saw swarms of more members sweep in.
“Um...” I muttered. I glanced over my shoulder to see if there was another way out. But apparently, this room only has one entrance, and one exit.
“Another fight! You’ve got to be kidding me.” You shouted.
I gritted my teeth as more pain swept through me. If only I wasn’t loosing so much blood, and I had more energy!!

We backed up farther into the room as the members came piling in with Willa at their lead.
She saw us and pulled out her stars, one in between each finger.
“Looks like we meet yet again. Princess.” She growled with an evil grin.

There was a sudden loud boom, and the whole building shook. I looked for the source of it, and found that it was coming from right above us.
There was another, then another, and the roof started to give way.
The last one brought the roof down and everyone scattered.
Suddenly before us Quorra and Sav were there on their floating skateboards.
“Come on!” She called, throwing two more boards down. You scooped me up and jumped on one, while Kigo jumped on another. At the same time covering our backs as we flew out of the new hole someone had just made in the roof. (cough, cough Quorra, cough.)

We came out of the building and found ourselves flying high above their HQ. I clutched your jacket hard as another wave of pain ran through.
“We have to get you back home.” You muttered. I nodded.
We zoomed off back to the apartment. There Quorra bandaged my leg up and I was forced to lie down and get some rest while I could.

“You know it’s only a matter of time before they find us and hunt us down.” Quorra said.
Kigo nodded.
“Yeah. And with Willa as their leader now, they’ll be coming after us.”
“How do we defeat them all? There’s so many of ‘em.” Sav pointed out.
“We could always run.” Quorra suggested.
Everyone shook their heads.
“We can’t go on to another city before we finish up here. If we do they’ll just send out more. We have to get rid of the hive.” Matrix stated.
“Yeah. But we need a plan on how to do that! We can’t simply run in there and take on everyone!”
“I said they’ll come after you. But I didn’t say how far they were willing to go.” Kigo piped up. Pushing himself away from the wall he had been leaning against.
“They won’t follow you to another city where they already know one of their agents are there. They’ll simply order him to take care of us!” He explained.
That made sense.
I pushed myself up into a sitting position.
Everyone was sitting either on the floor or in chairs. Or they were standing up.
“If we took on the whole thing. We would be way up to our necks. We need to get more people to fight if we’re going to do that.” I said, looking at everyone. They all nodded.
“You leave that to me and Vegg.” Matrix said. “We’ll get you fighters.”
I nodded.
“That’ll work. And in the mean time, we can go and take care of Angel and Reese right?” I asked.
Everybody nodded.
“Yeah! Sounds like a plan!” Quorra shouted enthusiastically.
“Well let’s get this show on the road!” You shouted. You put your hand in between everyone. I smiled and stood up. My leg was still hurt but I had rested up enough that it wasn’t as bad. I placed my hand on top of yours, and Quorra did the same. Soon everyone did but Kigo.
“Come on Kigo. Your part of the group now too.” I said looking over at him.
He sighed and placed his on top as well.
I smiled as I looked at how big our group had gotten. It use to be only the three of us.
You, me, and Savrin.
Now we weren’t so alone anymore.
We had friends.

                                                           We Fight Fate

“Really children. I mean if we could all just cooperate you wouldn’t have to go through any of this.” Raquel said with exaggeration.
“Don’t count on it. We’re not known for being very cooperative.” I stated, taking a fighting stance.
Ok so maybe the dress wasn’t the smartest of things to wear.
“I’ll take the jumps. You stay on the ground.” You said. Noticing my problem. I laughed.
“Yes sir.”

We ran up to Raquel who lashed out at us with her ninja sword.
I dipped under the sword and came sliding out up behind her. I slashed at her back and she stumbled forward.
She spun around and her sword met mine.
“Sneaky little thing aren’t you?” She asked.
I groaned under the weight of her sword.
Suddenly a blast of water shot her off her feet and blew me backwards.
I landed on my toes and slid backwards to a stop.
I glanced over and saw you with Shiro.
It seemed that Shiro was more magical then anything else. Because you used the element water, in so many different forms and ways.
Ice shards, a ball of pure water. Stuff like that.

I came up at her and we fought with swords for several minutes. Neither of us winning.
I finally used my wind power that Takara had, mixed with my other Powers that the Mark of the Deity had given me.
You joined in on the fight just as I had healed myself.
“You sure can put up a fight.” You commented.
“Thanks. Your not to bad yourself if you’d stop dying almost every time.” I added sarcastically as my chest rose and fell quickly.
“Yeah yeah. Guess it’s a good thing we’re engaged huh?”
I laughed.
“Yup! Got to admit, the Creator knew what he was doing.”
We both charged Raquel with our weapons braced.
I saw her next move and quickly flipped Takara into a shield.
I saw her sword come down, aimed for your chest, you were to busy trying to cast a spell with Shiro. I threw a wind vortex in front of you and her sword was thrown off and out of her hands.
She was then thrown off the stage by your water wall.
The last I saw of her, she was falling into the dark pit below.

I let Takara disappear and a wash of light and collapsed.
“Whoa!” You slid over and caught me before I hit the ground.
Talk about fatigue.
“Your favorite time of the day is when it’s still dark out and you can see the stars, just when the sun is coming up. Yet you know that makes you all the more tired. You sure are one crazy girl.” You muttered.
“Well your crazy enough to ask me to marry you so I say we even each other out don’t you?” I asked.
You laughed.
I placed my hand on the stage and it lowered it’s self. The lights turned off and the music stopped.
“Come on. Let’s get you home so you can sleep for a few minutes before we have to get to work.” You said, picking me up. I pulled my arms in and cuddled up closer to you. Trying to keep warm as you jumped us up onto the first level of seats then out of the amphitheater.
I felt safe in your arms. Hmm.... I guess I always have. Even when you laid dying I still felt safe.
So I guess I have the Creator to thank for that. Because if it weren’t for him, there’s no way I would have gotten this far!
I took one last look up at the fading stars.
Thank you Creator.... Your way to good to me even when I don’t deserve it. I prayed quietly. I then closed my eyes and fell asleep.

                                                                     ++++

I woke up to someone dumping water on my face.
I shook my head and forced my eyes open, sputtering water out of my mouth.
I looked around and found I was lying on the couch.
And Quorra was the one with the cup. And boy did she look mad.
“What’s up?” I asked smiling.
“What is this?” She asked with a hard tone, picking up my engagement necklace.
“A necklace.” I said. Starring her strait in the eye.
“It’s not just any necklace is it? ‘Cause it looks like an awfully pricy one to me.” She stated.
I sat up and swung my legs over the edge of the couch.
“Where were you last night?!” She yelled.
I glanced around and saw that all three boys must be out.
“Quorra I appreciate the whole ‘looking out for my older sister’ thing. But come on, acting like mom is my job!” I complained with a smile.
“Well someone’s gotta stay on top of you for sneaking out at midnight with a boy!” She shouted.
“Quorra it’s fine now.”
“NO IT’S NOT! You know the rules Zaydie!! How dare you break them!!” She shouted. Now she was getting worked up.
“Quorra we didn’t do anything! I swear he would never do that to me! He knows I would kill him before he got close!! So stop yelling at me and let me explain!”
She took a deep breath and crossed her arms.
She had changed back into her original outfit. The one with the green tank top and white light weight jacket, the black boots with the purple strings and her hair was now back in pig tails with the purple ribbon.

I looked out the window and saw that it was just beginning to lighten up outside.
I jumped up.
“Did he bring in my clothes?” I asked looking around. I suddenly remembered that I had a job to do with Kigo and I had better get ready.
“Yeah their on the counter. He even thought to bring your boots. Gee what a great guy.” She remarked sarcastically.
I walked over to the counter and scooped up my nicely folded clothes and boots.
“You’d better start to like him. Or your going to be in big trouble!” I called on my way from the bathroom.
I threw my clothes on as fast as I could. I splashed water on my face and quickly brushed my teeth.
I walked out of the bathroom looking cool and together.
I kept my engagement necklace outside my shirt unlike the medallion. I took that off and placed it inside my pack where I kept my other set of clothes along with what ever else Matrix had placed in there.
I ditched my tie so my neck wasn’t so crowded I guess.

“What are you talking about?” Quorra asked as I got a glass of orange juice.
I smiled as I drained the glass.
“I’ll have to tell you latter. We’re late!” I set the glass in the sink and walked over to my sister, placing my hands on her shoulders.
“But I will tell you. I promise. Just keep your cool. And behave with Sav and Rix. Alright?” She nodded, and I pulled her into a hug.
“See you latter!” I said scooping up my gun, and the saber - rod, and ran out the door.

Outside I pulled out my thin little cell phone I kept in my pocket and called you up.
“Hey were are you?” I asked when you picked up.
“Um... eating breakfast with the guys, where are you?” You asked.
“On my way to meet up with Kigo -”
“Kigo?! What the heck are you doing with Kigo?!” You yelled. I pulled the cell phone away from my ear as you yelled into the other end.
“We’re partners. Sorry Kylun, wasn’t my idea. That’s all I can say. But sorry. If we want to keep cover I have to go. So I’m going to The Fallen’s what-ever-it’s-called thingie. The black one.”
“’what-ever-it’s-called thingie, the black one’ Okay then. It’s called HQ for future reference. I’ll meet you out on main street. Out there in front of the apartment. Meet me there in three.”
“I’ll meet you there in one.” I said. Snapping the cell phone shut and shoving it into my pocket.

I took off running down the open hallway of the apartment building, and took the stairs two at a time.
I gripped the two hand rails on the stairs and put my weight on my arms, swinging my feet out in front of me and jumping the last six or seven steps or so.
I landed on the ground lightly and ran full speed ahead.

The streets were starting to come alive. Early birds were there to make it early to the market, or on their way to work.
Me?
I was on my way to meet up with my fiancé, and have a talk with fate.
Wow, now there’s an odd mix.

I bumped into you as I made my way down the street.
And I mean that literally.
I was watching a little girl clutching to a stuffed bunny with over stuffed ears, as she ran around with her mom. I wasn’t looking were I was going and I rammed into you.
“ow.” I muttered as I hit something.
“Whoa there!” I looked up and saw your face and a smile came on. And not just on my own face.
“You’re never looking where your going.” You remarked. Giving me a quick kiss then taking my hand and guiding me down the streets.
“So you have a good sleep?” You asked.
I laughed.
“Yeah, except the fact that my sister gave me a cold awakening and she’s now mad at me.”
“Oh yeah? Ha well she wasn’t to happy with me when I found her waiting for me when I teleported into the apartment.”
My turn to laugh.
“Yeah I bet she wasn’t. Did you tell her?”
“Nope. did you?”
“Nah. Better to tell her when we’re both there... seeing as it’s not just my news to tell.”
You shot me a smile.

We took off running down the streets.
Now, we were Skye and Zero.
Members of The Fallen.
We were on the door step of The Fallen’s HQ and we jumped up the stairs and into the elevator.

Upstairs we met all the younger members in our lounge room.
We found everyone already there,
I spotted Kigo from the get - go. And he did to.
He marched over and gave a chin - up nod to you.
“Mind if I barrow your bride - to - be?” He asked. Though I could tell it wasn’t a request.
“Yeah I do actually. I’m only letting her go because it’s the Captain’s orders.”
“Yeah I know. Come on sweetheart. We have a job to do.” Kigo ordered.
I could feel you tense next to me.
I squeezed your hand, but kept all emotions off my face.
“I’ll be fine. I can handle him.” I said, letting go and taking a step towards Kigo.
“She get’s hurt. Your dead buddy.” You threatened.
“yeah, yeah. You enjoy yourself dude.” Kigo said with a two - fingered salute and a sly grin.
Then he led me out of the lounge and back the way I had just come... well here goes nothing.

                                                             ++++

Kigo I found, was an extremely laid back person.
We came to our target’s house and we started setting up shop.
Well Kigo did anyway.
We had positioned ourselves on a roof of a building in front of the target’s house and Kigo set up shop.
He had been caring a large thing in a canvas bag that had gotten me curious.
It turned out, to be a sniper rifle.
Oh boy.
So now he was lying down on the roof with the rifle cocked and ready to fire.

“So tell me about yourself Skye. How’d you get wind up in a mess like this?”
“A mess?” I asked cautiously.
He looked over his shoulder and cocked his head.
“Yeah... this mess we’re all in. I hate the lot of it. The orders, the missions, the murdering. It’s no life for someone who’s engaged.” He said turning back to look through the scope of the rifle.
“... Then why are you in it?”
“Simple. My dad signed me up, and never let me get out. I’d rather be anywhere then where I am. But it just is.”
I sighed.
Creator.... please protect me for what might come next.
“Me too. I was forced into the business of fighting. Every kid is where I’m from.”
He scoffed.
“Where’s that? Konsor?” He meant it sarcastically, but he was spot on.
“Yeah. I am actually.” I had no idea why I was telling this boy that I barely knew all this.
“Are you serious?!” He asked turning to look at me.
I nodded.
“What was it like?”
“Horrible. It’s not something I want anyone to go through. they make everybody become a solider. Someone to do the President’s dirty work when they don’t feel like getting their hands dirty.
Life there is hard. That’s all their is too it.”
“Why didn’t you leave?”
“I did. Just not the way I expected.”
He turned back to his scope.
“You a Believer?”
“Yeah. You?”
“Yup. A new one, but one none the less. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out what’s right or wrong. How do you figure it out?”
“Hmm... The Creator tells you, in a small still whisper. So you have to listen closely.” I said.
“Humph. Sometimes you don’t have time to listen.” He said. “Here he comes.”
I glanced over the edge of the roof and found the target walking out of the house.
“Do we really have to kill him?” I asked, I slipped a little and concern entered my voice.
He glanced over his shoulder.
“yeah.... defy orders you get suspicious, get suspicious and you raise the Captain’s attention. Raise his attention and your dead. Not where you want to be trust me.”
I sighed.
I don’t like killing people. Heck I don’t like fighting people! Yet it’s got to be done. There’s really no way around it.
“What if we just moved him?”
Kigo shook his head again.
“The Fallen has their fingers in everything. They’d notice. Don’t watch if it makes you feel that bad. I’m the one pulling the trigger.”
I bit my bottom lip and turned away, squeezing my eyes shut, and cupping my hands over my ears.

Bang...Thud.

Screaming came next and Kigo touched my arm.
“Time to break!” He said. Picking up the rifle and sliding it into the case. He slung it over his shoulder and we jumped down off the roof.
I took a large jump off the roof and landed in a flip.
“Catch!”
I looked up and saw the sniper rifle on it’s way down.
I reached up and snatched from the air as Kigo jumped down... more or less.
He kind of stumbled on the last bit and was falling to the ground really hard.
I slung the rifle over my shoulder and stepped over to try and break his fall.
I jumped up using the spring boards that Sindo allowed me to use and grabbed his right arm.
I spun him around till his momentum slowed down then I let him fall to the ground, which he landed on the ground heavily, but on his feet.
I came down next to him in the floating style that I did so often when I did air jumps.
“Well that just makes me look like a low class nothin’!” He remarked taking the rifle from me and running off down the streets.
“Well let’s just say I’ve had lots of practice.” I muttered as I ran to catch up with him.
He laughed.
“Yes I’m sure you have.” He said as he skidded around a corner.
I was keeping up with him easily, and we were soon out on the open streets.
“This way.” He ran down a set of stairs in an alley way.
Down the stairs we came to what looked like a safe house.
Kigo stashed his rifle in a closet, locked up then we headed back out again.

“So, why are you here in The Fallen anyway?” Kigo asked as we walked briskly down the streets of Vecina.
“What do you mean?”
He laughed.
“I know your not as tough as you make yourself out to be.”
I gave him a hard look.
“How would you know? You’ve only known me a day.” I pointed out.
“True. But that’s the thing with me. I’ve always been able to be a real good judge of character. So I know when people lie, and when someone seems hinky.”
“Hinky?”
Never heard that word before.
“Yup. Like you. You smell like a double timer.”
I froze and looked at him.
“So who are you really working for?” He asked stopping and turning to me.
“I work for The Fallen.” I tried to lie, but I’m not entirely sure it worked though.
It didn’t work. He cocked an eyebrow and crossed his hands over his chest.
“I take that as in insult! I’m not and idiot Skye. If that’s even your name.
But see what I don’t get is that if that is a false name, then how on earth does your finger prints match up with someone that doesn’t even exist?”
Oh he was on to me. shot.
“Let’s just say, I have a few tricks up my sleeve.”
“And what about Zero. Are you two actually engaged was that just a cover story to get Willa off his back?”
I smiled. “Well it was to begin with, but not anymore.”
Kigo looked shocked.
“He actually popped the question?”
I laughed.
“Um yeah if you want to put it that way.”
He pointed to my necklace.
“That the engagement necklace?”
I nodded.
“Well congrats and all, but that still doesn’t answer my question on who you work for young lady.”
He took to the streets again, and we started to walk back to the HQ.
I bit my bottom lip and didn’t say anything.
How could I? It’s not like I could tell him! and just say ‘oh yeah it’ll be great, he won’t tattle tale on us.’ I couldn’t say that for sure!
So, I just didn’t say anything at all.

Our first stop was to the Captain’s office.
We stepped in for only a moment before he asked us.
“Is it done?”
Kigo nodded.
“Good. I shall call you when I need you again. Don’t wander to far.”
Then we left for the lounge area.

“Better put your stone hard face back on. Your going to need it what with Willa out to get you for steeling her guy.” Kigo warned, he turned his head in such away that the hair on the left side of his face fell away.
Shock and surprise flashed across my face when I saw the black eye patch covering his left eye.
“Just keep that in mind. And I’ve got your back partner.” He said winking his right eye. “Even if I’m not the only one.” Then he walked into the lounge room with me following right behind.
You stood over in a corner, and I spotted Willa with her legs crossed, with a hard look on her face.
Lexi slipped up next to me.
“Watch out.” She muttered through unmoving lips. “She’s in an awful feisty mood this morning.”
I nodded.
Willa sighed dramatically and pushed herself off the couch. She wore a short dress with high heels.
Ugh talk about a certain elegance that makes us girls feel horrible.
“Well if it isn’t our little princess back from saving the day.” She said coldly, smiling at me as she crossed her arms.
I put my hand on my hip and fingered my saber - rod.
“If anyone should be called princess it’s you Willa. The drama princess that is.” I stated. Pulling up the Skye act.
She cocked an eyebrow.
“Watch it darling. Or you’ll never know what could happen.”
I scoffed.
“I can take anything you dish out at me. And then some. But just remember, I don’t carry these weapons for nothing.” I remarked.
she looked taken aback for a moment, but then it turned to anger.
“Why you little -”
“Willa!” I turned to see one of the older boys step in.
She snapped her head around and growled. “Leave her be.” He ordered. “And don’t get into fights you know you can’t win.” He added with a sly grin.
We all chuckled and I moved off.

“How’d it go?” You asked as I came up next to you.
“Well we got the job done. Not in the manner I would like it but it’s done.” I stated with ice in my tone.
You looked at me up and down for a moment.
“Tell me about it latter.”
I nodded.
“What now?”
“Now... we get what we came for.”
I gave a curt nod and you led the way out of the lounge room.
“Ok so what exactly did you have in mind?” I whispered as we snuck down the hallways.
“Get to the computer room, and let you do what you do best.”
“Sounds great. But I mean like a plan, to do that plan.” I said desperately as we almost bumped into one of the other Fallen members.
“Uh..... haven’t thought up that far yet.”
I groaned and shook my head.
“This is all way to familiar!” I said.
“Hey,” You grasped my shoulders and gave me a hard yet somehow gentle look.
“It’s going to be fine. It’s not going to end that way. Alright?”
I nodded. Then something struck me.
“Oh no!”
“What?!”
“We’ve switched places!! Oh that’s not good.”
You were confused. I just smiled.
“What?”
“Never mind. Come on then! Let’s see what we can figure out.” I said with an enthusiastic smile.
“Oo-kay.” I heard you mutter behind me.
I grinned and pulled at your hand.
“Well come on then! I don’t know where I’m going! I don’t have Sav’s tracking Power you know!”
You took the lead and we continued to sneak around HQ.
It was quite exciting actually. Talk about adventure!
It just so happened that we were quiet close to the computer room. You pushed me up against a wall. Trying to hid me as more of The Fallen members continued to file by.
But... um me being me. There was a door must have not been completely shut and one that we didn‘t notice, because before I knew it, I was falling backwards into a dark room.
I let out a small scream as I landed hard.
“Zaydie!”
I looked up and saw that the door was shutting, leaving you outside, and trapping me in.
I scrambled to my knees as you tried to keep the door from shutting. But it was to strong for you. So it closed.
“Oh... dear.” I said quietly. I got up on to my feet and looked around.
“Hmm... now I wonder where I could be. Let’s see...” I said in a care free tone.
I looked around and saw that there was those lights in the roof again.
My eyes adjusted and I turned around slowly in a circle.
I found that I was in a small room, and that there wasn’t anything in here.
“Now... this is odd... why would someone hid a doorway.... into a room that leads to nothing?” I asked the Creator and myself.
“Hmm...”
I ran my hands along the smooth stone walls and found that there was an arch way.
“And I wonder what could possibly be in there.”
I made my blue light Power appear in my hands and I had it illuminate the area better.
I made my way down the tunnel.
It was small and had a very low ceiling. Even I had to bend down!

I made progress slowly, but surely.
It finally widened out into a large tall room. I let my light Power go before I got to the end of the tunnel, and peeked into the room. No one was in there. Instead it was a bunch of computer monitors.
“Looks like I just found what we were looking for Kylun.” I whispered. I ran back out the way I had come.
I came to the small room that I had fallen into. I placed my hand on the wall in front of me, and forced the door opened.
You were still standing there when it opened, and jumped back when it did.
“I found the computer room.” I said with a grin. I grabbed you wrist and pulled you inside. Then, checking to make sure no one was out there, I closed the door again.
“Um... Zaydie what are you -”
“Follow me!”
I walked off into the tunnel, and was about to warn you about the low ceiling when I heard a low thud.
“Yeah. Watch out for the low ceiling.” I said with a grin.
“Oh now you tell me.”
I laughed and kept moving.
We came out in the computer room and you let out a low whistle.
“Well I guess it’s a good thing you found this then.” You muttered. I walked into the room and went over to the computers.
“What am I looking for?” I asked.
You shrugged.
“Um... anything that has to do with the other agents in the other three cities. Try to figure out who they are and what there status is in the government.”
I nodded, and placed my hand on one of the hard drives.
I forced all of the confidential files up on screen.
“Ok that’s all of the confidential ones.” I said moving over to one of the monitors and tapping on the glass keys.
I typed in the name of the first city, and a whole bunch of files came up on it.
“Wow look at all this stuff.” I scrolled through one file after another. Looking for what we need.
“Here!”
I dashed to you and peeked over you shoulder.
There was a picture up of a girl. She had blond natural curly hair, and ice blue eyes.
“Hey that looks a lot like...”
“Willa.” You finished. I nodded. You pointed to her name.
“That’s because, it’s her mom.”
My jaw dropped.
“Well... alrighty then. Ok so what city is she in, and what’s her status?” I asked, pulling out my cell phone. I dialed my sister up.
“Hey sis? yeah you’ll need a pad and pencil.” I said into the phone.
“Ok  her name is Angel, she’s in Lothomer. and she’s the Governor’s personal adviser there.” I said into the phone as I read the file.
“Ok, got it.” Quorra said from the other end of the line.
“Here’s another. A man named Reese is now the Governor in Ulrikima.” You said.
“Did you get that?” I asked my sister.
“Yup. Anyone else?”
“Um... “ I tapped away at the keys on a separate monitor and pulled up the file for here in Vecina. It didn’t show that one on of the agents was somewhere in power there.
“Well it’s strange... no one is in power here in Vecina. Which I would think that would have been the first place they would have gotten to.” I said into the phone.
“No. They don’t want to raise suspicion here. In Vecina everyone thinks that the problems from other places are in some distant land, and they don’t affect their world. The government here works very hard to keep that shroud in place.” You explained.
“Ok so it’s just Angel and Reese right?” Quorra asked.
“Yup. We’ll be back soon.” I said.
“Good because not only do you have to explain what went down between the two of you last night. We all so have to get a move on and topple these guys. And soon. We don’t want to stay in one place to long and blow cover.”
I nodded.
“Alright. We’ll be home soon.” I then hung up. “She says to hurry up. We have jobs to do.”
“And what, may I ask. Are these jobs?”
We both turned around and found Willa and the Captain standing behind us.
I glanced over at you as I unclipped my saber - rod.
“Your not going to try and stop us are you?” the Captain asked.
“Depends on what you plan on doing with Dresher once it’s under your control.” I stated. He chuckled, and Willa smirked.
“Good job Willa. Now get everyone else to battle stations.” He ordered.
“But sir -”
“I will take care of these armatures myself. You go and do as your told!”
Willa turned and moved off down the hallway.
“Well now that she’s gone and out of the way. Down to business.”
He turned to us and suddenly a long staff that had pointed sharp blades at each end.
“And please, no armature fights.” He said with an evil grin.
I glanced at you. You nodded.
I dropped the saber - rod and summoned Takara.
“Alright. You asked for it!” I warned.
“Where’s Savrin when you need ’em?” You muttered as Shiro appeared in your hands.
“Who is that? One of your little friends?!” The Captain charged forward, giving it only a quarter of what he had.
We easily blocked it, and I struck back with Takara.
Getting a better grip on my sword, I gave it a shove, and slashed down wards, aiming for the Captain’s lower chest.
He did a backwards flip and knocked me off balance, causing me to spin around on my toe to get back up on my feet.
You sent a wave of ice shards at him which didn’t seem to hurt him one bit!
I looked up in surprise.
“Oh you’ve got to be kidding me. Don’t tell me your ice proof!” I shouted as I ran forward. This time I used all the cunning attacks.
Spinning in and out, slashing where I could, making precise cuts. I flipped out of the way as he tried to cut me with his weapon.
The blade cut through my jacket and shirt, right to the skin my Mark was on.
I groaned in pain as I backed off.
“Zaydie! Watch it!” You warned sending a wave of water at the Captain.
“I’m fine.” I ran my finger tips over the cut skin and it closed up. “See? I told you. Don’t worry about me. There’s nothing I can’t fix.”
“you just keep telling yourself that child.” the Captain said with an evil grin.
I clenched my jaw and set my face in stone.
I gripped Takara harder and held her out behind me. Ready to strike.
“I will thanks.” I said.
“Why you! Insolent girl!” He charged forward and grabbed the collar of my shirt.
He lifted me off the ground and spun me around like a rag doll. Then he threw me, and I slammed against the wall.
“No!” I heard you yell as everything got to be blurry.
I clasped my hands together in a praying stance.
Creator.... help us defeat this monster. I prayed.
I let my healing Power flow out around me, I could feel myself floating off the ground slightly as it did it’s job. All of the aches from the fall, and the fight washed away.
I opened my eyes and put my feet up against the wall. I pushed off hard, with Takara out before me. I spun over the Captain’s head and slashed down with my sword. He blocked mine and I pushed myself up high to the ceiling.
I dropped Takara and it disappeared in a wash of light before it hit the ground.
I summoned Zindra and aimed an arrow at the man. It met it’s mark, well... close to anyway. It was just a smidge lower then where I wanted it to hit, but I was willing to take that.
It lodge it’s way into his shoulder and the both of us attacked while he was down momentarily.
You from his left side, me from the air.
We both hit him the exact same time, making him fly backwards and ram into a wall. He slumped down and collapsed.
“Get a taste of your own medicine.” I said. Making Zindra disappear.
“What was that?!” You asked. I glanced over and saw that you had a lopsided grin on your face.
“What was what?”
“You were like... floating! And glowing on top of that! What were you doing?”
“Oh that! I was healing myself. I guess it took more because I was dinged up a lot. Speaking of which, you hurt anywhere?” I asked.
“Just my arm.” I looked down and saw that your black robe had been ripped in several places, and several places were red with blood.
I yanked the piece of material of your sleeve off.
“Hey watch it.” You remarked. I chuckled.
“After this your going to need a new wardrobe anyway, so I figured that this wasn’t going to be a problem.” I said.
There was a long cut that ran from your shoulder all the way down to your wrist.
“Ow.” I muttered. I ran a finger down the cut, and it healed under my touch.
“There. Now we had better do something -”
I sensed the Captain get back up with his weapon raised above his head for a silent kill. The only person that height was you
